Rewilded forest at Mukima
Rewilding & Planting

A hundred acres, slowly returning

Our family has planted hundreds of thousands of trees at Mukima. We protect the land to allow indigenous re-wilding. You can now enjoy a walk in our 100-acre rewilded forest — a magic reward from 20+ years of protecting and nourishing nature.

“The gift that keeps on giving,” as the owner puts it.

The Woodland Waddle

A complete loop through the rewilded forest

Indigenous canopy, soft trail, thoughtfully placed benches, labelled trees, medicinal herbs in the undergrowth. The Mukima Bird List runs to 237 species.

No To Chemicals & Plastics

A sanctuary, daily defended

All produce organic and pesticide-free. Chemical-free toiletries to protect groundwater. Completely free from single-use plastics. Recycling and reuse threaded through every operation. Our team is local, our suppliers are local, and during the dry season we open up the grass on the estate so neighbours can cut feed for their cattle.
