Farm to Fork

Most produce is grown organically on Mukima's pesticide-free farm and orchard. Eggs from our chickens, meat and dairy from small organic Laikipia farmers we have known for years. Two chefs work to the rhythm of the house, no buffet, no fixed dinner hour.

A Day of Eating

Four meals,
and one for cake.

Breakfast · 8–10
Garden eggs, slow porridge, warm bread, fruit from the orchard, coffee that knows what it is doing. In the orangery, by the pool, or in the Shamba.
Lunch · 1–2
A two-course table, a main and a dessert. If you'd prefer it light, ask for the wellness menu. 
Tea · 4:30
Our family's favourite hour. Tea and cookies on the front lawn, mountain in view.
Dinner · 7–8:30
Candlelit, generous.

Herbs, salad greens, seasonal vegetables, soft fruit, edible flowers, all organic, all without chemicals. Anything we cannot grow comes from small organic farmers within a short drive.
