A house with history and exceptional character
Nine ensuite bedrooms, drawing room, orangery, cinema, Persian courtyard and an inviting veranda, full board, two private chefs and fleet of staff.
Cedar-framed. Carefully tended.
Built in the 1930s as a private home, patiently rebuilt in 2005, from a roofless ruin, and reimagined in 2024 into today's boutique hotel. The Manor House carries the story and protects the sanctuary.
Corners to settle in
The sun drenched orangery, where meals are served on crisp mornings. The drawing room, with a large crackling fire for dinner with friends. The cinema rooms, for late afternoons that ought to be raining. The deep-set veranda, for sundowners.
And the first-floor terrace, where tea at 4:30 happens with the mountain in view.
Our family's favourite hour
Inspired by the botanical garden and our love for books and poetry.
Each ensuite. Each different. Choose the one that soothes your soul or take all nine.
A house furnished by family
Every corner of the Manor and its rooms is dressed with pieces from Blue Rhino Africa, our sister atelier. Sheepskin chairs, hide slings, hand-stitched leather, lampshades, throws, planters — all made by skilled craftspeople, each piece carrying the texture and warmth of the highlands.
From the chairs you sink into by the fireplace to the linens that wrap your bed, our home is your tactile introduction to Blue Rhino’s world.
