Exquisite Wedding Venue

Gorgeously situated beneath the snow-capped spires of Mount Kenya, overlooking its own lake, enveloped in velvet lawns, and on it’s own conservancy, Mukima House is the epitome of a gracious wedding and honeymoon venue. It boasts broad stone terraces, plump beds of lavender, a galleried staircase, a baronial reception area, a suite of reception rooms and its own mini spa. It also offers a palatial honeymoon suite (with a log fire, Edwardian claw-foot bath and ‘his and hers’ pre- or –post-wedding massage), and a choice of at least ten venues for the actual ceremony. Choose from by the lake (arrival by boat or helicopteroptional), on the lawns, in the central courtyard, on the terrace, by the oval swimming pool, under a passionflower bower, or against the background of the elephants that await just a short drive down the road.

A corporate venue with a difference

Easily adapted, with plentiful parking, back-up generator and easy access to Nairobi and Nanyuki, the house makes the ideal corporate venue, whilst incentives include golf, horse-riding, tennis, private safaris, bird-shooting and more. Presentations, meetings and conferences can be accommodated in the main drawing room (50 guests), dining room (14 guests), central courtyard (20 guests) and upper gallery (15 guests), while breakaway groups and work groups can be accommodated in the games room and study. Catering can be provided by the pool or in the grounds, while evening cocktail events or lunchtime product launches to optimum advantage on the pool terrace, which has its own kitchens and washroom.
